Boston Qualifier Marathon Half Marathon 10K 5K 1 mile
The Toughest Race on the Prairies
Pinker-TEN 10&10 Trail Race

New for this year is a pair of technical trail races that will put your endurance to the test!
The scenic 10k race is a dash down quiet, forgotten country roads - rolling hills provide some elevation challenge as the route gradually descends back to town. The race begins at the Pinkerton School cairn, covering maintained gravel for the first mile before switching to meandering turkey trails, and eventually to single-track trail as it links to the newly-developed Boyne Trail system.
The 16k/10mi race begins at the same Pinkerton School cairn, but instead heads south down PR242 to the Pinkerton Lake lookout and monument. From here, runners find themselves tackling a grass trail through the Pinkerton Lakes Wildlife Refuge - a semi-maintained, looped path through a parkland forest, past a picturesque ski shelter and back to the lookout tower. The route then heads north on PR242 to the school cairn, where it joins the 10k route back to town.
Our Town
Treherne is a beautiful community in the heart of the Manitoba prairie. An hour west of Winnipeg on highway #2, Treherne packs an awful lot into a small town.
In the summer, Treherne is home to a pristine golf course, a large, family friendly aquatic center, gorgeous campground, and walking trails through the lush valley on the east side of town.
In the winter, there is a curling rink and an active hockey arena. South of town there are rolling hills, with well groomed snowmobile trails. There are snowshoeing paths through the valley next to town for outdoor fun.
Treherne is home to both elementary and high schools, a robust day care, a hospital and health clinic, with ample seniors housing at the legion lodge and the Treherne Villa. The town offers a wide range of professional services, including lawyers, accountants, a dentist, a pharmacy and a veterinarian. There are several restaurants in town, as well as a bakery for fresh baked goods. The co-op and hardware have everything you need to look after your home, and the local tradespeople can help you with any project you have on the go.
Treherne hosts events all throughout the year, including curling bonspiels, tournaments for hockey, baseball, Belgian bowling, and golf. The Treherne “Run for the Hills” Marathon is held every fall and attracts runners from all over the world!
The rich history of the area is on display in the Treherne Museum, and the new car museum is home to one of the largest collections of classic cars in Manitoba. The community is surrounded by the beautiful prairie landscape, featuring vibrant crops as far as the eye can see, and breathtaking sunsets in the evening.
So come join us in Treherne, make it your home.
